Howdy all,
I've got some news/info about our Bosnian friends that I'd like to share with you.
Last thursday a few of us visited a family in Starbird complex. We distributed the beautiful pictures that Farid took in the picinc among people. Needless to say that they were all excited to see the picutres. Thanks Farid :-)
Cynthia and I are planning to have a resume workshop. We are co-ordinating that with Selma and Ridvana. I will be doing the preps this thursday. Selma and Ridvana have asked people who need help with their resume to participate. I'll take some sample resumes and will answer any questions they may have. At the begining of next month Cynthia and myself will make another visit to finish up the workshop. Additional volunteers can join.
I have some news about donating cars. You can donate your car to a PARTICULAR family ONLY if that family came to US through catholic charity if you would like to include that in your tax report. So, if you don't care which Bosnian family gets the car, indicate at the time of donation that you wish A Bosnian family to recieve it. In case, you'd like a person to receive it, contact Reza first to make sure they are eligible to get it via catholic charity. Note: Mina, please let Claude know about this since the family he specified to donate his car to, is not eligible. The only way to give the car to this family is to donate it as a gift in which case Claude will not get tax papers... They are currently holding the car until they hear from Claude.
Among the people at the picnic there was a lady named Yasipa who was finishing her specialty in anesthesiology. She is looking for a job in a hospital and will be at the workshop this week. She is currently studying for her board exam. If you know someone in medical field who can help, let me know. Emir, her husband is also a surgeon and is working 7 days a week painting apt complexes! They are a wonderul hard working couple. They have two daughters.
That's all folks!
Hope to see you soon,
-Foroozan
